The Belarusian potash manufacturer Belaruskali will demand full compensation from Lithuanian Railways for all the losses caused by the termination of the contract on the shipment of Belarusian fertilizers, the Belarusian TV channel ONT reports.

According to the source, Vilnius has already received the corresponding letter with a warning. Belaruskali believes that Lithuanian Railways has to pay off all the parties, who will incur losses, including Belaruskali's partners in other countries.

Apart from that, it has been reported earlier that the Lithuanian side is supposed to pay a fine of at least €600,000 due to the termination of the contract.

Lithuania uses its railways as a tool of sanctions and intends to dishonor its contractual commitments by stopping the transit of fertilizers on 1 February, ONT said.
