The Victory Flag embodies the feat of the soldiers-liberators and is a unique historical symbol that has a special legal status in Russia. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to Belarus Boris Gryzlov at the ceremony of raising the Victory Flag in front of the embassy in Minsk, as BELTA reports.

The Ambassador stressed that this scarlet flag is not just a unique historical object, it also has a special legal status, which in the Russian Federation is enshrined in the federal law.
"This flag is a relic of Russia. It embodies the unparalleled feat of the soldiers-liberators. No one in the world has a more fundamental and profound symbol" noted Boris Gryzlov.
Along with the heroism of the regular units of the Red Army, he emphasized the contribution of the large-scale partisan movement to the fight against fascism and the achievement of Victory.
