“April 2 is the Friendship Day of the Belarusian and Russian peoples, the day of unity, the day of cooperation. No doubt, literature, the humanitarian sphere, the scientific sphere are essential intermediaries in this intercultural dialogue, essentially the historical basis of what we call friendship, mutual understanding, mutual enrichment of each other,” Mr. Saverchenko noted.
According to him, literary works and documentary correspondence between the classics of Belarusian and Russian literature make it possible to reconstruct the deep processes of interaction between our peoples, cultures and territories.
The press conference “Literature in Historical and Cultural Dialogue of the Belarusian and Russian Peoples” was held at the National Press Center on the eve of the Unity Day of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia.
