Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will make a working visit to Turkmenistan on 8-9 October, where he will participate in the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State. This was reported in the press service of the Belarusian leader.

Leaders will discuss cooperation within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which is turning 35 this year. Alexander Lukashenko in his speech at the meeting will state the position of the Belarusian side on topical topics of CIS activity, as well as on the potential and future prospects of this international association.
There are more than one and a half dozen items on the meeting agenda. These include social development and quality of life, transport connectivity to the CIS, joint work in information space, cooperation in law enforcement, preservation of historical memory.
