There are over 52,000 cultural workers in Belarus, 76 percent of whom are women. Inna Adamovich, Head of the Department for State Special Cultural Events at the Ministry of Culture, shared this information with journalists, reports a Soyuz.by correspondent.

"The cultural sector currently employs over 52,000 people. Women account for 76 percent of this workforce. These individuals represent a variety of professions—poets, musicians, artists, librarians, and cultural educators. Specialists and manual workers make up the largest segment at 59.23 percent, while managerial staff account for 14 percent, and other employees make up 4 percent. Nearly half of the cultural sector workforce holds a higher education degree, and 32 percent have a specialized secondary education. Since 2023, there has been a positive trend in the number of employees with higher education," said Inna Adamovich.

In addition, approximately 1,500 young professionals are hired by cultural organizations each year. Highly positive and favorable conditions are being created to foster the development of their creative potential. A support system for students is also in place: the Special Fund of the President of Belarus for the Support of Talented Youth operates to provide benefits to winners of international and national competitions. These benefits include admission to educational institutions without entrance exams, transfers from fee-paying to state-funded study programs, tuition discounts, and various other privileges. Furthermore, recipients of grants or awards from the President's special fund are granted named scholarships. Inna Adamovich emphasized that the sector’s successes are driven by many people distinguished not merely by their creative abilities and potential, but above all by the enthusiasm, conscientiousness, and dedication characteristic of cultural professionals.

She also announced that the Union State Days at the "Slavianski Bazaar" festival would take place as usual in 2027. "In recent years, these events have been held in an expanded format comprising four main components: the headline concert at the festival's main venue—the Summer Amphitheater; a project at the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic; a creative project at the Vitebsk Concert Hall; and an open-air event at Pushkin Square. These events will certainly go ahead in 2027, and the program for the Union State Days is currently being developed. We aim to delight the audience with new features and unique highlights, attract exciting new performers and groups, and ensure that every spectator—whether in the audience or watching on TV—is captivated. And, of course, the festival program as a whole will—I believe—be vibrant, interesting, diverse, and innovative in some respects, while undoubtedly preserving its cherished traditions," Inna Adamovich concluded.
