The 14th Belarus-Russia Sister Cities Forum will take place in Bobruisk on October 9, BELTA reports.

The event is expected to address opportunities for further developing sister-city ties by establishing sustainable economic cooperation formats and implementing social projects. Culture and tourism - key communication tools within the sister-city movement - will also be central topics of discussion. Additionally, a youth meeting for representatives from the two countries' sister cities will be held at the Bobruisk Center for Supplementary Education for Children and Youth.

The forum program includes visits to institutions and enterprises in Bobruisk, a plenary session, thematic panel discussions, and the signing of new agreements between Belarusian and Russian cities.

The forum is organized by the Belarusian "Sister Cities" Association in cooperation with the Bobruisk City Executive Committee and the International "Sister Cities" Association (Russia).

Prospects for developing Belarusian-Russian sister-city ties and new initiatives proposed during the meeting will be consolidated in the forum's final document. Furthermore, participants will select the Russian city that will host the next Belarus-Russia Sister Cities Forum.
