The forum will feature the CIS Conference on Countering Terrorism and Extremism, along with an international scientific and practical conference of the SCO RATS. In addition, CIS and SCO competent bodies will hold a joint exercise, Eurasia Antiterror 2026.
At the conference discussion platforms, participants plan to pay particular attention to developing unified approaches to protecting critical infrastructure facilities, countering the financing of terrorist activity and cyber threats, including the use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence tools by criminal groups.
The forum will continue its work on 8 October. During the Eurasia Antiterror 2026 exercise, a joint operational headquarters will be set up for the first time. A combined operational combat special forces unit made up of representatives from six SCO and CIS states will demonstrate the foiling of a terrorist act at a facility with a large concentration of people, as well as countering an illegal armed formation in a populated area, on water and in wooded terrain.
The event is held under the patronage of the Belarusian head of state. The president has repeatedly pointed to the need to strengthen international cooperation within the SCO, CIS and CSTO, with an emphasis on practical interaction.
