Meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on Trade under the Standing Committee of the US was held in Minsk

The meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on Trade under the Standing Committee of the Union State was held at the site of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange. Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, the Federal Tax Service of Russia, and the Permanent Committee of the Union State took part in the meeting.

The main topics for discussion included a set of issues related to draft regulatory legal acts governing retail and wholesale trade in Belarus and Russia, access of goods to the markets of the two countries, as well as expanding the list of products with the status of “Union State goods”.

Together with representatives of enterprises, the parties reviewed the ongoing work to adjust the current legislation and a number of other national initiatives that affect access of goods to the markets.

During the discussion, the meeting participants agreed on proposals for further cooperation between regulators, which will form the agenda for work in 2027.

The next meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on Trade under the Standing Committee of the Union State is planned to be held this year, ahead of the meeting of the High‑Level Group of the Council of Ministers of the Union State.
