The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, expressed condolences to the family and friends of People’s Artist of the USSR Yuri Solomin on his death – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service.
“An outstanding actor and director, a person with an active civic position – who invariably remained faithful to his ideals – has passed away. Yuri Mefodievich has reached real professional heights, and his multifaceted talent was embodied in many wonderful, truly stellar roles that captivated millions of viewers. The bright memory of Yuri Mefodievich will always live in our hearts,” the condolences say.
