"The museum is the pride of Belarus. Having begun its history immediately after the liberation of the republic from the Nazi invaders, it became a symbol of the struggle, courage and dedication of the Belarusian people, their defiance of the enemy," the congratulatory address says. "The unique expositions of the halls, various projects and programs of the museum reverently preserve the memory of the immortal feat of the Red Army, partisans and underground workers, all those who brought the Great Victory closer," Alexander Lukashenko stressed.
"Today, the institution is honourably resisting the falsification of the historical truth about the Second World War. Reminding humanity of those tragic events, educates the younger generation on the ideas of equality, humanity and peaceful coexistence of peoples," the Head of state emphasized. He expressed confidence that enthusiasm and dedication to his work will continue to awaken kindness and love for the Motherland in the hearts of visitors.
