Design of future Belarus' National Football Stadium revealed

Minsk City Hall has revealed details of the future National Football Stadium in Minsk on its official Telegram channel. Plans are in place to commission the new sport facility in 2023, BelTA has learned.

“The architectural concept of the stadium, as well as that of the future swimming pool is focused on the theme of friendship between Belarus and China. Red and white colors and green area reflect the national style and natural features of Belarus. The floating lines of the curved facade connect the two friendly states and symbolize the Belt and Road initiative, said representatives of the press service of Minsk City Hall.

The football field will be designed to meet FIFA requirements. It will be 105x68m big with an auxiliary area of 125x85m. It will be a 33,000-seater stadium that will feature a two-level stands, and a VIP-zone with skyboxes. A system of automatic watering and heating will take care of the grass-covered surface.

The stadium infrastructure will include locker rooms, training halls and a doping control station.

The total area of the sport facility will make up 48,000 square meters, its height will be 38.6 meters.
