The competition program will consist of theoretical and practical parts, in five most difficult nominations reflecting modern areas of surgery: "laparoscopy", "cardiovascular surgery", "abdominal surgery", "thoracic surgery", "plastic surgery".
Future specialists will have to demonstrate the masterly technique of performing such interventions as coronary artery bypass grafting, gastric resection, total reconstruction of the external nose and other complex operations using simulation equipment and biological material.
The three strongest teams will advance to the finals. They are waiting for real surgical stages - jugular vein puncture under ultrasound navigation and right-sided hemicolectomy - on an experimental animal (rabbit) in a real operating department under the supervision of a strict jury.
