The "Marksman" competition for students of general education institutions is starting in Belarus

The competition will start on March 1 and will last until October 24, 2026. Students from general education institutions aged 14 to 16, both boys and girls, will participate in the competition. 

 "The event will be held in a traditional multi-stage format, starting with the general secondary education level and ending with the national stage in October 2026," explained Pavel Shesteren. As part of the competition, representatives from all regions of Belarus gathered in Minsk for a practical seminar, where they will discuss the generally accepted rules for shooting competitions.

"This will be a good help for the teaching community. Teachers who attend the event will be able to bring their students here in the future. We are also talking about the patriotic education of young people," said the deputy director for educational and methodological work.

The competition is held in four stages: school stage (held in general secondary education institutions among students), district (city) stage (participate teams-winners of the school stage), regional (Minsk) stage (participate teams-winners of the district (city) stage, republican stage (held in Unitary Enterprise Shooting and Sports Complex of Voluntary Society for the Promotion of the Army, Air Force, and Navy , participate the strongest shooters from all regions of the country). 

«During the first stage of the competition will be carried out selection of the best in secondary educational institutions and other wishing to participate. As part of the second stage, competitions will be held at the district level, followed by the regional level, and finally the national level. The competitions will be held under the auspices of the Central Council of Voluntary Society for the Promotion of the Army, Air Force, and Navy," said Andrey Nekrashevich, Chairman of the Central Council of Voluntary Society for the Promotion of the Army, Air Force, and Navy.
