Sola claims biathlon sprint gold at Belarus’ nationals

The 2026 Belarusian Biathlon Championship has kicked off at the Raubichi Winter Sports Center, BelTA has learned.

The competition opened with 7.5 km sprint races for women and junior women. Victory in the women’s sprint went to Hanna Sola, who cleared both shooting stages without a miss. Irina Shakleina secured silver, trailing by 32 seconds, while Alena Kulak claimed bronze, two minutes off the pace. Dzinara Smolskaya did not participate in the race.

Among junior women, Anastasiya Titova posted the best result, with Hanna Makarskaya and Veronika Poznyak securing silver and bronze respectively. Men and juniors will also take to the start of the sprint on 23 February.

Mass start will be held in Raubichi on 24 February.
