The key topics of the upcoming Belarus-Russia Union State forum of businesswomen in Minsk were outlined by Ruslan Neverovich, Deputy Director of the Entrepreneurship Department of the Belarusian Economy Ministry, during the press conference “Business by Women: How Russian and Belarusian Women Build an Economy of Trust”, BelTA has learned.

Ruslan Neverovich noted that the idea of holding the forum emerged after the Belarusian head of state signed Decree No. 1 on declaring 2026 the Year of the Belarusian Woman. “Today, women, on par with men, run companies, launch startups, and form professional communities, thereby creating a new trend in business and shaping a distinct entrepreneurial culture. On the initiative of the [Belarusian] Economy Ministry and its partners, the forum was included in the national action plan for the Year of the Belarusian Woman,” he said.

According to the Economy Ministry representative, Russian colleagues enthusiastically supported the initiative. “We expect a significant number of participants from Russia. We believe the forum will become a platform for productive exchange of experience, development of cooperation ties, and new professional connections,” he explained.

Ruslan Neverovich emphasized that the forum serves as a strategic tool for deepening integration within the Union State: “This event directly contributes to the practical implementation of the roadmaps for building a unified economic and humanitarian space of the two countries.”

The forum will take place in Minsk on 21-22 May. The first day will begin with a plenary session, followed by work in panel sections. The first section will focus on high-tech industries and technological security of the Union State. Discussions will cover the role of science in developing high-tech business, the agro-industrial complex, biotechnology, breeding, digital farms, import substitution, and more. Successful cases of science-driven companies led by women will be presented.

The second section will address cooperation and integration within the Union State. Topics will include improving the efficiency of interaction between Belarus and Russia, creating unified conditions for market participants, industrial cooperation, regional partnership, resource exchange, logistics, and expertise sharing.

The third section will examine cooperation between the state and business. Discussions will focus on financial support for SMEs, reducing the administrative burden through digitalization of business processes, and new promising areas, including the involvement of women and seniors in entrepreneurship. A case session on best practices in social projects is also planned.

The fourth section called “Tourism, Hospitality Industry and Regional Development” will explore outbound tourism in both directions, new routes, joint tourism products, the restaurant and service industries as drivers of tourist flows, and alternative development vectors such as industrial tourism and MICE tourism.

The fifth section “Digital. Law. Business” will address pressing issues of the modern entrepreneurial community. As noted by Olga Dargel, Deputy Chair of the Chamber of Tax Consultants and Chair of the Minsk Women Entrepreneurs Organization of the Belarusian Women’s Union, the topics from cryptocurrency taxation to marketplace operations and electronic document management are among the most discussed today. Senior representatives of the Ministry for Taxes and Duties, MART, the National Center for Personal Data Protection, and the Internal Affairs Ministry will take part. “This is a rare opportunity to hear legal interpretations directly from the authorities,” she said.

The second day of the forum will include visits to Belarusian enterprises, B2B meetings, cooperation negotiations, and partner searches between regions of Belarus and Russia. Participants will also be introduced to the cultural potential of Minsk.

“The forum will not just be a discussion platform but a real impulse for developing women’s business potential within the Union State. Bringing together topics from high technologies to cultural exchange will strengthen economic ties between Belarusian and Russian regions and help shape a new ethics of modern business. We are confident that the upcoming events will give rise to unique projects that will become notable news stories in the future,” Ruslan Neverovich concluded.
