Belarus hosts nearly 170,000 visa-waiver travelers since 1 January 2026

Since 1 January 2026, Belarus has welcomed 169,338 travelers from 38 countries included in the visa-waiver program. The majority of travelers came from Lithuania, Latvia and Poland, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.

“A total of 1,427,507 European residents have visited Belarus since 15 April 2022 when the visa waiver program was launched for Lithuanian and Latvian citizens, alongside Latvian non-citizen status holders, and expanded to Polish citizens on 1 July 2022. Belarus has welcomed 722,213 visitors from Lithuania, 454,336 people from Latvia and 160,085 visitors from Poland. On 19 July 2024 the visa-waiver program was extended to include 35 more countries. A total of 90,873 citizens of these countries have visited Belarus,” the State Border Committee said.
The visa-waiver program for citizens of 38 European countries has been extended until 31 December 2026. Detailed information about the visa waiver is available in the special section on the website of the State Border Committee.
