PHOTOfact: the requiem concert “Every Third” was held at the "Oktyabrsky" Big Concert Hall in St. Petersburg

Among the participants in the event are Dmitry Krutoy, Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus; Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg; Alexander Belsky, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg; Anna Lukashenko, initiator and head of the project; and Nikolai Rogozhnik, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in St. Petersburg.

As part of the program, two thematic exhibitions were set up in the lobby of the Oktyabrsky Concert Hall. The photo exhibition by the Belarusian Telegraph Agency, “Fates Arranged in a Triangle,” told the guests and participants of the event about the fates of those who died and those who survived, using authentic front‑line letters, postcards, and archival photographs. The exhibition “The Deeds and Fates of Partisans in Documents” was created based on materials from the online project “Partisans of Belarus” by the publishing house “Belarus Today” and the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus. It is dedicated to the partisan movement. The digital platform contains 240,000 electronic cards of partisans. In 2022, this project was awarded the Special Prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

More than 100 Belarusian artists took part in the requiem concert. Among them are the Honoured Collective of the Republic of Belarus, the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, the State Academic Choral Capella of the Republic of Belarus named after Shirma, soloists of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus and leading ensembles of the country. The project was initiated by LLC “Musical Media Company” with the support of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Culture of Belarus, and in 2025 it was awarded the President of the Republic of Belarus’s prize “For Spiritual Revival”.

Today, on September 9, a repeat of the concert‑requiem program is scheduled at the Oktyabrsky Concert Hall.
