Belarus and Russia plan to work out the algorithm of creation of a "unified" standard for clothing for schoolchildren, the press service of the State Committee for Standardization reported.

The event was held online under the leadership of Alexander Burak, First Deputy Chairman of the Gosstandart and Elena Sarattseva, Deputy Head of the Roskachestvo, with the participation of representatives of the Gosstandart, BelGISS, Roskachestvo and the relevant technical committees for standardization of the Russian Federation.
The agenda of the meeting included two issues: elaboration of approaches to the creation within the Union State of a standard for clothing for schoolchildren and agreement on positions on the draft amendment to the interstate standard for natural honey (GOST 19792-2017).
Elena Sarattseva noted the advisability of developing a "unified" standard, indicating that both in Belarus and in Russia national standards with experience of application are present. The requirements are generally up to date, and despite sharing some similarities, also have differences. Their synchronization is possible and relevant, as the light industry of the two countries are included in the cooperation chains, and the Union State works to form a foundation of standards.
The algorithm of creating a "unified" standard is decided in dialogue with all market participants such as technical committees on standardization, manufacturers, certification bodies, testing laboratories and scientific institutions. This dialogue will take place in late September in a form of a teleconference.
Alexander Burak emphasized that the Belarusian light industry today occupies active positions in improving state standards and finding new points for technology development in the industry.
The parties also confirmed their readiness to engage in a dialogue to clarify the positions on the draft amendment to GOST 19792-2017, which is at the final stage of development. There will be a meeting of industry technical committees with regulators and other institutions. The main challenge is to make sure that innovations are justified in order to reduce the falsification of honey and possible barriers to its supply. However, it is important to have a testing basis for determining the relevant indicators.
As a result of the meeting, Alexander Burak called for strengthening synergies from joint work, promptly and comprehensively discuss emerging issues and make decisions taking into account the best quality indicators for consumers.
