Belarus’ gold and foreign exchange reserves grew by more than $1 billion in August 2026, reaching $15.24 billion by the beginning of September 2026.
“The main driver of growth was an increase in the value of gold in the reserve structure by $0.93 billion, driven by a rise in global prices, up 13.3% over the month. Reserve assets in foreign currency also continued to grow, increasing by $0.11 billion. The current level of reserves provides coverage of more than 3.2 months of imports of goods and services,” the EDB noted.
