Belarusian skier Anna Koroleva entered the top 10 of the individual race at the start of the fifth stage of the 2024/25 Russian Ski Cup, BelTA has learned.

The start of the competition took place on Thursday at the Mirny ski and biathlon complex in Kazan. The women's individual 10 km freestyle race opened the stage program. The leader of the Belarusian team, Anna Koroleva, clocked 24 minutes 01.7 seconds and took 10th place among 120 participants. Another Belarusian athlete, Elizaveta Pinchuk, finished in 77th position. The women's race was won by Olympic relay champion Natalia Terentyeva from Tatarstan, who beat Korolev by 50 seconds.

In the next stage, men will compete in a similar discipline. Classic sprints will be held in Kazan tomorrow, and skiathlons will be held on January 18. In the current season of the Russian Cup in Cross—country skiing, Anna Koroleva won one medal - on the first stage at the Top of Thea in late November, she took second place in the sprint.
