There is this problem when industrial projects overlap in the Union State, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov said at the panel discussion “The Union State: At the Turn of Eras” at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, BelTA learned.

Mikhail Myatlikov stated that industrial cooperation is the core for the Union State. "At present, manufacturers of Belarus and Russia have been working to launch the production of key components that are the analogues of imported goods from third countries," he said.

“There is another problem, namely the duplication of industrial projects when Belarus and Russia make similar products. I will not name them specifically, but they do exist. In our opinion, the best way would be to involve our resources into a single project complementing each other. This will create the synergy that will enable us to grow domestically and internationally,” he noted.

He also touched upon the topic related to the Made in Union State project. “The image-boosting message of the project is clear. But keeping in regular with business, I see that everyone is interested in whether the state will provide support for the project such as repayment of interest on loans, reimbursement of costs associated with participation in exhibitions in third countries, if the Union State product is presented there. Such support for business would be very interesting and important, Mikhail Myatlikov said.
