Representatives of the Belarusian and Moscow Railways outlined plans for further work to ensure unhindered passage of cargo flows. This was reported in the press center of the Belarusian Railways following a meeting of representatives of the freight industry in Smolensk.

The delegation of the Belarusian Railway was headed by Irina Kaplevskaya, First Deputy Head of the Freight Work and Foreign Economic Activity Service of the Belarusian Railway, and the delegation of the Moscow Railway was headed by Artem Ustinov, Deputy Head of the Moscow Railway for the Smolensk Territorial Administration of the Russian Railways branch.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the freight work and Foreign Economic Activity Service of the Belarusian Railway, the freight work departments of the Minsk, Gomel, Mogilev, Vitebsk branches of the Belarusian Railway, Orsha, Gomel, Vitebsk stations, the Russian Railways Corporate Transport Service Center, Vyazma, Smolensk-Sortirovochny, Bryansk-Lgovsky stations and the Moscow Directorate. motion control.
The negotiations focused on minimizing technical and technological barriers at the interstate junctions of the Belarusian and Moscow railways in cargo transportation, and the introduction of the latest technologies to increase the reliability and attractiveness of rail transport for both Russian and Belarusian shippers.
The experts discussed in detail a range of practical issues that directly affect the speed and quality of cargo transportation. The parties analyzed the main violations of the rules of transportation, including the rules for their placement and fastening, identified during the transfer of wagons and containers for 11 months of 2025, and developed a number of management solutions to minimize them in the future. Special attention is paid to the issues of ensuring irrevocable technology, eliminating commercial malfunctions at the place of their detection, and eliminating unproductive car runs. The procedure for registration of transportation documents during the reception and transfer of goods between railways is considered. Plans to improve cargo and commercial operations were discussed.
"The synchronization of processes between the Moscow and Belarusian highways in Smolensk is another confident step towards creating a technological and uninterrupted transport space, which is the backbone of economic cooperation between the two Union states," Irina Kaplevskaya summed up the meeting.
All the agreements reached and the planned plans for joint work are officially fixed in the minutes of the meeting, which will become the basis for further concrete steps by the departments and services of the Belarusian and Moscow Railways.
The event ended with a ceremony of laying flowers at the Eternal Flame in memory of the fallen during the Great Patriotic War.
