The Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War hosts the International Conference "80th Anniversary of the Great Victory in Museums: practices, projects, solutions"

The international conference "80th Anniversary of the Great Victory in Museums: practices, Projects, Solutions" is being held at the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War. She will conclude the jubilee year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory, and will also identify possible areas for inter-museum, informed by pobedarf.ru.

During the event, representatives of the participating museums of the Association of Historical and Military History Museums and the International Project "Territory of Victory" will exchange experiences with colleagues from the Republic of Belarus on conducting military-patriotic events that have received a positive response, and best practices for interacting with the audience. Among the organizers are the Victory Museum of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War.

The final conference will feature presentations by the heads and staff of 12 museums in Russia and Belarus. They will talk about the results of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the implementation of projects aimed at preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War, as well as share their practices on patriotic education of young people.

For example, Alina Kashcheeva, director of the Obninsk History Museum, will talk about museum practices for preserving military history. Natalia Chentsova, Director General of the United Memorial Museum of Yuri Gagarin, will share her experience in conducting military-patriotic events. Victoria Pavlenko, Deputy Director for the Development of the Borodino Battle Panorama Museum, Elena Khimchuk, Director of the Murmansk Regional Museum of Local Lore, Irina Kuleshova, Director of the Bryansk State Museum of Local Lore, and other participants also presented their reports at the conference.

Varvara Erokhina, Assistant General Director of the Victory Museum and head of the International Project "Victory Territory", Boris Cheltsov, Scientific Secretary of the Victory Museum, and Ekaterina Patrina, Head of the Academy of the Victory Museum, will also share the results of their work in the jubilee year.
