Putin on elections in Belarus: Confident victory of Belarusian patriotic forces

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a message to Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to congratulate him on the successful conduct of the elections in Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Kremlin.  

"I congratulate you on the successful conduct of the parliamentary and local elections on a single voting day and the confident victory of the Belarusian patriotic forces. The high voter turnout and the results of the expression of the people's will clearly confirm the broad support for the policy pursued under your leadership aimed at promoting harmonious social and economic development of Belarus, ensuring domestic political stability and advancing the mutually beneficial integration within the framework of the Union State," the message said.

"We hope that the new people's representatives in the House of Representatives of the National Assembly and the local councils of various levels will fruitfully interact with their Russian colleagues within the framework of inter-parliamentary dialogue and multifaceted interregional cooperation " the Russian president said.

Taking this opportunity, Vladimir Putin wished Aleksandr Lukashenko good health, prosperity and successes in his state activities.
