World peace depends on how Eurasia will develop, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the 4th Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security, BelTA has learned.

"The Minsk Conference is a unifying forum. Or does someone think that the West has its own Eurasia and the East has its own? Eurasia is a supercontinent, the cradle of great civilizations and world religions, with a thousand-year experience of interaction among different cultures and peoples. Today, Eurasia is home to the planet’s largest resources and the majority of its population,” the head of state said. “It is here that the heart of the modern world beats. Eurasia’s development will shape the world we can confidently pass on to our children, free from fear and doubt.”

“We are for a common Eurasia. Eurasian security is common and indivisible. Responsibility for it is shared as well, because no one can fully provide it alone. Neither the West nor the East. There is no alternative here!” the Belarusian leader stressed.
