MFA comments on status of Belarus' international cooperation

In 2022 Belarus developed strategic partnership with Russia and deepened the integration within the Union State, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik said at the meeting of the ministry collegium, BelTA has learned.

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) prioritize the efforts to consolidate positions on countering sanctions, to create conditions for boosting trade and economic cooperation, particularly on the bilateral track.

“We have prepared a clear program of our CSTO chairmanship in 2023 and will do our best to implement the priorities approved by the head of state in this direction," Sergei Aleinik noted.

Work with the “far arc” countries goes on and brings the expected result, he stressed. “This was especially true for China. We have advanced our relations to the level of an all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership,” Sergei Aleinik said.

The positive agenda is also being promoted in relations with India, the UAE, Iran, Zimbabwe and other countries.
