Lukashenko sends condolences to Syrian president over deadly attack in Homs

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent condolences to President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The Republic of Belarus condemns in the strongest possible terms the criminal attack in the Syrian city of Homs on 5 October 2023 that led to numerous casualties. The senseless murder ended the lives of young patriots of Syria, whose goal was to defend the interests of their Motherland and return it to peaceful life,” the message of condolences reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations cannot be justified and should not go unnoticed by the international community.

“In this difficult moment, we mourn together with the fraternal people of the Syrian Arab Republic, send words of support and empathy to families of the victims, and also wish speedy recovery to the injured,” the Belarusian leader noted.
