Lukashenko, Putin discuss topical issues of Belarusian-Russian relations

Belarusian Presidents Aleksandr Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation on 2 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader. 

The heads of state discussed topical issues of Belarusian-Russian relations, reviewed the results of the previous events and meetings at the highest level, including a meeting in Kazan and a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State. The near-term prospects for the development of bilateral relations were outlined. 

Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin discussed the problems in the work of the integration associations: the Eurasian Economic Union, the CSTO and others.

The presidents also looked into the most pressing international issues and the situation in the region and the prospects for its development.
