Belarusian ambassador meets with head of Russian Presidential Executive Office

On 22 June, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoi met with Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation Anton Vaino, BelTA has learned.

"The parties exchanged views on a wide range of topics of Belarusian-Russian cooperation and integration cooperation, with a focus on specific issues on the domestic and foreign policy agenda. In particular, the parties discussed the issues regarding a joint meeting of the collegiums of the Belarus President Administration and the Russian Presidential Executive Office to be held in the near future," the press service said.
Special consideration was given to the youth policy. "In particular, the parties touched upon the organization of an expanded meeting with the participation of the leaders of Russian and Belarusian youth associations, the youth wings of political parties and representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State to discuss the state of work with young people and promising areas of joint activities. The patriotic cultural and educational project ‘Memory Train', organized by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, was especially noted," the press service said.
Cooperation in the media sector was also on the agenda of the meeting. "Dmitry Krutoi and Anton Vaino discussed the status of the instruction by the Supreme State Council of the Union State to set up a Union State media holding company. The parties agreed on active media coverage of the upcoming significant cultural and sports events, including the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk and the 2nd CIS Games," the diplomatic mission noted.
"The Russian side reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the promotion of the Belarus 24 TV channel in Russia, including the expansion of the broadcasting of Belarusian media outlets in the networks of the largest Russian telecommunication operators," the embassy stressed.
Separately, the parties discussed the events of the Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held in Vladivostok on 10-13 September, looked into a possibility of visiting one of the largest Russian industrial enterprises so that the governments of the two countries could map out further steps towards the common industrial policy and to promote cooperation as part of import substitution projects.
"The parties also looked into the preparations for the Rossiya international exhibition-forum, which will be held at VDNkh from 4 November 2023 to 12 April 2024," the press service added.
