On 30 December, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 477 to approve the plan for preparing draft legislation in 2025.

The plan is based on the real need of the society to address the relevant relations and the order of priority of their regulation by law. Special attention was paid to the systemic, comprehensive and stable legal regulation.

The plan 2025 suggests drawing up both fundamentally new legislative acts (Healthcare Code, Environmental Code, Law On Aquaculture) and updating the existing laws.

In addition, work will be carried out on draft laws and decrees based on the results of the revision of legislation currently underway in accordance with the instruction of the head of state, in order to eliminate excessive technical regulation and overburdening of the legislation with normative legal mandates and to reduce the body of law in general.

The plan also provides for the preparation of a decree to improve Decree No. 551 “On Measures to Improve Road Safety” of 28 November 2005.
