Belarus seeks to strengthen trade, economic, and investment cooperation with Russia’s Vladimir Oblast. Belarusian Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar made the statement at a session of the working group on cooperation between Belarus and Vladimir Oblast, the Economy Ministry press service told BelTA.

In 2025 trade between Belarus and Vladimir Oblast exceeded $550 million, setting a new historic high. Over the past ten years the number of commodity items in mutual trade has increased by 20%. To maintain the positive dynamics, it is necessary to develop manufacturing cooperation more actively and to create conditions for sustainable growth of mutual deliveries, Yuri Chebotar noted.

Among the promising avenues he named mechanical engineering, metallurgy, the production of components, industrial equipment, agricultural machines, and municipal vehicles. Belarusian enterprises are ready to meet Vladimir Oblast’s needs for freight and passenger transport, municipal vehicles, and other specialized machines. There are also opportunities for increasing shipments of Belarusian food products.

The parties pay special attention to joint infrastructure projects. “We also count on the further development of the infrastructure area. Joint image-building projects such as a school in Suzdal and s water treatment station in the town of Raduzhny are the practical results of our interaction that clearly allow our people to understand and feel the benefits of integration,” the minister stressed.

After the session two documents were signed in the presence of Yuri Chebotar and Governor of Vladimir Oblast Alexander Avdeyev. The National Agency of Investment and Privatization of Belarus concluded a cooperation agreement with OOO Koloksha Aggregate Plant. A plan of steps and events to implement the agreement on establishing friendly relations between Petushki Municipal District of Vladimir Oblast and Borisov District of Minsk Oblast was also signed.
