The meeting with Krasnoyarsk Territory Governor Mikhail Kotyukov focused on cooperation in sports and exchange of best practices. “The Belarusian delegation took great interest in the activities of the forum’s thematic venues and sessions. We have something to share, and we are glad to have the chance to present our expertise,” Viktor Lukashenko said.

“We have long-established ties across the economy, agriculture, industry, education and culture. Belarusians have long taken part in sporting events in Krasnoyarsk Territory. You are always welcome here, and we invite you to visit our Siberian region more often. We are kindred peoples, and that is how it has been and how it will remain,” Mikhail Kotyukov noted.

Viktor Lukashenko also met with Russian Athletics Federation President Petr Fradkov to discuss prospects for developing athletics in both countries. The two officials praised the successful staging of the Best Athletes Cup and the match between Union State teams, and took stock of the challenging international situation in athletics.
