Manufacturing cooperation remains a priority in cooperation between Belarus and Bashkortostan. Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) Roman Golovchenko shared the opinion during a session of the working group on cooperation between the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russian Federation and Belarus. Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov took part in the session, BelTA has learned.

Roman Golovchenko said: “Manufacturing cooperation is a priority, including shipments of Belarusian machines, vehicles, and equipment with assistance of financial support instruments. As for our agrarians, cooperation is going quite well with regard to grain harvesters, forage harvesters, and general-purpose tractors.”

The NBRB Board chairman remarked that the Bashkortostan government puts a lot of effort into advancing cooperation between our republics and into implementing joint projects. “There is no slump, no neglect. Everyone works very closely to accomplish the formulated tasks. As a matter of principle, we have outlined all the main avenues and voiced possible steps for their further development,” he stressed.

Belarus is also interested in advancing cooperation. The country has prepared a financial proposal that can support shipments of municipal vehicles and make it financially less burdensome for Bashkortostan in current conditions.

“The project to develop electric transport is important as well. Thanks to cooperation between Minsk Automobile Plant and Ufa Tram and Trolleybus Plant the Bashkortostan enterprise has not only gained experience but has restored its competences, which has allowed setting up a joint venture that is already capable of acting as an independent and strong player on the all-Russian electric transport market,” Roman Golovchenko explained.

Apart from that, work is underway to develop the tourism sector. Cooperation in this area remained on the back burner for a long time, but today the parties are interested in discussing various matters and proposals.

As a result of the session an agreement of intent and cooperation was signed between OOO New Industrial Technologies and OAO TD Minsk Motor Plant, an agreement between OOO MAZ-RUS and TRET MAZ-UTTZ on the transfer of a prototype trolleybus assembly kit, and a cooperation agreement between AO Sberbank Leasing and OAO MAZ.
