Belarus’ Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik has met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Belarus, Maharram Aliyev, who presented copies of his credentials – as reported by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service.

“The two sides shared their views on the state and prospects for the development of Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations and discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda. Particular attention was paid to organising upcoming visits at the top and high levels, strengthening trade-economic liaisons, and agreeing on a roadmap for the development of co-operation between Belarus and Azerbaijan,” the Foreign Ministry noted.

“The parties confirmed their focus on further development of relations in line with the strategic partnership between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Azerbaijan, with Sergei Aleinik wishing Maharram Aliyev success in his diplomatic work,” the Belarusian department reported.
