“One of the most notable examples of successful international relations is the work of the presidents of Belarus and Russia within the framework of the Union State. They use this integration wisely and show everyone how to respond to the challenges and threats facing the world today,” Sergei Kovalchuk noted.
“Looking to the future amid the changing world order, the member states of various integration associations need to boost cooperation in sports and bring it to a higher and more qualitative level. We should involve in this process those countries that show interest in these integration associations,” the minister added.
The ministry pointed out that during the meeting the participants discussed important issues of world and domestic sports. The agenda included the implementation of the Strategy 2030, development of interstate cooperation, innovative sports and spiritual training of athletes.
The international forum “Russia is a sports power” will be running till 19 October.
