The Russian diplomat noted that Russians are close to the meaning and historical significance of this landmark event.
"The reunification of the Belarusian people was achieved by the common efforts of our ancestors," - emphasized Boris Gryzlov. "Today, Russia and Belarus are strengthening bonds of friendship within the Union State, overcoming any challenges together and firmly defending their interests. As on November 4 for Russians, September 17 for Belarusians symbolizes loyalty to the country, readiness to defend its freedom and independence, to work for its prosperity," - emphasized the Russian Ambassador in Belarus.
"For our brotherly peoples, the ideals of patriotism have a special value. It is on them that the invincible force of spirit, the rod of our historical memory and civilizational unity are based", concluded the diplomat.
