The message reads: “Exactly 30 years ago, the Treaty on the Establishment of the Community of Belarus and Russia was signed, launching the integration processes between our countries. Over this period, mutually beneficial integration ties have seen tremendous development, and their positive impact is seen in the lives of our citizens. Russians and Belarusians today enjoy equal rights in healthcare, education, social and pension support, and freely choose where to live and work across the entire space from Brest to Vladivostok.”
The Russian leader noted that the Union State has established effective coordination in foreign policy, defense, and security – something of primary importance in today’s challenging international environment. Belarus and Russia jointly develop and implement comprehensive measures aimed at strengthening their financial, economic, scientific and technological sovereignty.
“It would not be an exaggeration to say that the Union State has become a driving force of integration processes across the Eurasian space and serves as a benchmark for cooperation within such multilateral structures as the CSTO, EAEU, CIS, and SCO. I am confident that, building on the results achieved, we will continue our consistent joint work to further expand the entire range of allied ties and multifaceted cooperation between Russia and Belarus for the benefit of our brotherly peoples,” Vladimir Putin emphasized.
