Belarus plans to increase machinery supplies to Russia’s Dagestan in 2027, Belarusian Industry Minister Andrei Kuznetsov said on the air of the First News TV Channel on 20 October, BelTA has learned.

Andrei Kuznetsov highlighted the effectiveness of cooperation with Russia. “The INNOPROM Belarus expo showed that we are on the right track. The number of delegations from Russia has increased,” the minister noted.

Particular attention is paid to expanding the geography of supplies. Andrei Kuznetsov named Dagestan as a promising destination. “The topic is interesting. We discussed supplying MTZ tractors there. Partners are planning to renew their fleet, so we have set ourselves this task,” he emphasized.

Asked about the structure of demand in the Russian market, the minister noted that Belarusian industry responds flexibly to changing consumer needs. While six months ago the main focus was on machinery with internal combustion engines, priorities are now shifting.“We are looking at gas-powered technology, electric transport and hydrogen-powered machinery. Belarusian truck maker BelAZ is working on meeting demand in all three areas,” he said.

The minister noted that Belarus is ready to offer machinery powered by internal combustion engines running on both conventional and alternative fuels, and electric transport, including electric buses and trolleybuses with extended autonomous range.

Andrei Kuznetsov recalled that sanctions had not forced a single enterprise in Belarus or Russia to shut down. “We continue to work on import substitution and localization,” he emphasized.

Among the key integration projects, the minister cited a machining program involving the Minsk Gear Plant and Gomselmash to replace imported gearboxes with domestically produced alternatives. A total of 24 projects are being implemented within the Union State of Belarus and Russia, with results expected by 2030, Andrei Kuznetsov concluded.
