The use of such solutions, which are geared primarily towards small and medium businesses, is expected to allow commercial entities of the two countries to find trade partners abroad faster and at a lower cost, and will expand opportunities for concluding exchange transactions by leveraging specialized financial products of the Russian Export Center.
A presentation of the new opportunities for representatives of business circles will take place on 29 October as part of an online seminar organized by BUCE and the Russian Export Center. Domain-specific experts from both organizations will speak at the event and will tell entrepreneurs how to efficiently combine participation in exchange trading with tools for trade financing, transaction insurance, and settlements under foreign trade contracts. The main functional peculiarities and the commodity range offered at BUCE, the accreditation procedure, the procedure for conducting exchange trading, the pricing mechanism, and the analytical and marketing capabilities of the exchange will also be covered.
An agreement to step up interaction on implementing the memorandum of cooperation between BUCE and the Russian Export Center was reached in September 2026 following a meeting of BUCE Chairman of the Board Aleksandr Osmolovsky with Deputy Director General of the Russian Export Center Tatiana An and Head of the Russian Export Center’s office in Belarus Viktor Doronkevich. The joint webinar on exchange-related topics will be the first in a series of events organized by BUCE and the Russian Export Center in order to attract small and medium-sized businesses to the Belarusian exchange platform for the sake of taking part in trading as exporters and importers.
At present 5,357 residents of Russia are accredited with BUCE, including seven with the status of exchange brokers. Since the beginning of the year the number of trade participants from Russia has increased by 441 companies.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange was established in 2004, with its first trading session conducted in June 2005. BUCE is one of the largest mercantile exchanges in Eastern Europe. Its key function is to assist Belarusian companies with exporting their products and assist foreign companies with entering the Belarusian market. The commodity exchange facilitates trade in metals, timber, agricultural products, and a broad choice of industrial and consumer goods.
