Lukashenko extends Russia Day greetings to Putin

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended Russia Day greetings to Russian President Vladimir Putin, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.

“This day symbolizes the power and greatness of the Russian state, pride in its centuries-old history, rich culture and traditions. Belarus highly respects the successes of the brotherly people in developing a strong and prosperous Russia, in ensuring a decent quality of life for people and increasing their wellbeing are treated with great respect in Belarus. The key to present and new achievements is inspired and creative work of many generations of Russians, their cohesion, love and devotion to the Fatherland,” the message reads.

The head of state expressed confidence that the constructive interstate dialogue based on the principles of mutual respect and support meets the fundamental interests of the people of the two countries, helps consolidate stability and security in the region.

Aleksandr Lukashenko has also sent greetings to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly Vyacheslav Volodin.
