A wide range of issues concerning Belarusian-Chinese cooperation and international topics were covered during an interview of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko with the China Media Group. The interview lasted for an hour and a half, BelTA has learned.

Among the topics discussed were Belarus-China interaction and the intensity of visits by the Belarusian head of state to the People's Republic of China. The conversation touched upon the foundation of such strong Belarusian-Chinese relations and what is behind such a leap forward in bilateral ties, their exceptionally high level of an all-weather and comprehensive partnership.

The Chinese journalist was interested in the president's expectations regarding the upcoming visit to China and, in particular, participation in the SCO summit in Tianjin, as well as Belarus's full membership in the organization – once again, on what it means to “be in this family”.

During the conversation, Aleksandr Lukashenko touched on the topic of leaders' diplomacy and its role in advancing bilateral relations.

The discussion also covered major joint global projects, including the Great Stone Industrial Park, which Xi Jinping has called a “gem” of the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as efforts to create the most favorable conditions for the park’s efficient operation.

The interview separately addressed themes of patriotism, the Belarusian president’s participation in the upcoming Victory Parade in Beijing, and the shared commitment to preserving historical memory and global peace.

Additionally, one of the questions focused on the peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian conflict and the Alaska talks between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Aleksandr Lukashenko elaborated on his stance regarding these matters.

The interview was organized ahead of major international events in China, including the SCO summit and the Victory Day parade in Beijing. Together with other world leaders, the Belarusian president has been invited to attend these events.
