Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent congratulatory greetings to Belarusian Christians who celebrate Christmas on 25 December.

The President noted that Christianity had redefined the history and culture of entire humankind and had a great impact on the formation of human values – social justice, mutual support and benevolence.

“Relying on traditional moral values, with faith in our hearts, we pass to our descendants the most important things we have – love for the Motherland, wisdom and experience of the previous generations, which helps build the future based on the principles of peace, respect and good neighborliness that are in great demand in today’s world,” the message reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished everyone good health, happiness and successes in all good endeavors. “Let this great holiday fill your homes with the warmth of mutual understanding and well-being,” the head of state emphasized.
