USA allocates $1.7m to support Belarus' response to COVID-19

The United States has allocated $1.7 million to support Belarus in its response to the COVID-19 pandemic, BelTA learned from the website of the U.S. Department of State.

The financial assistance is intended for the healthcare sector, including the preparation of laboratory systems, strengthening the detection of coronavirus cases, epidemiological surveillance and other activities.

In response to the pandemic, the United States has also allocated funds to a number of countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean.
