The congratulatory message reads: “It is a day when we honor people of one of the noblest professions, who follow their heart’s calling and understand that the job requires unprecedented commitment, patience, and painstaking work on a daily basis. Thanks to efforts of many generations of Belarusian medics the country has established and operates an affordable and efficient system for providing medical aid. We are proud of having preserved and of developing both traditional branches and new branches in this field, of the fact that we build hospitals and clinics, buy modern equipment, successfully master innovative methods of diagnostics and treatment in every corner of Belarus for the sake of improving the quality of people’s life.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked that nowadays the healthcare industry faces global tasks: without slowing down the pace of currently topical scientific research it is necessary to introduce cutting-edge technologies and train young specialists to continue the best traditions of the domestic healthcare system.

The president expressed gratitude to all the workers and veterans of the healthcare system for their work and wished happiness, prosperity, and peace to their friends and families.
