The FTU and the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia are stepping up cooperation

The Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus is stepping up cooperation with the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia, BelTA has learned.

The corresponding agreement was signed the day before at the headquarters of the FTU. The document was signed by the chairman of the FPB Yuri Senko and the leader of the FITU Sergey Chernogaev. It was noted that the agreement is based on deep mutual understanding and a common interest in resolving emerging issues.
According to Sergey Chernogaev, Chairman of the FITU, the agreement provides for joint work of the trade unions of the two countries in the entire range of relevant areas today. And all issues that may arise in the future will also be resolved jointly. The chairman of the FITU also added that today trade unions strive to cooperate in a variety of areas, from labor relations to family support, and are ready to share experiences and new ideas on all issues, regardless of their specifics. In particular, they should inform each other about their participation in the development of draft legislative acts related to human labor.
The parties also agreed to make efforts for mutual support in the international arena. An exchange of delegations and specialists is envisaged in order to study the experience of labor and trade union activities, including holding forums and seminars, including on the basis of the MITSO trade union university. In addition, the trade union centers of the two countries plan to promote further cooperation on recreation and health improvement of trade union members.
It was noted that this event was another important step towards a long-term constructive partnership with the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia, which unites more than 128,000 primary trade union organizations and more than 19 million people.
