A meeting of the High-level Group of the Council of Ministers of the Union State was held in Minsk yesterday. There are about 20 issues on the discussion agenda.

The event was attended by Dmitry Krutoy, Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus, Alexey Overchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Sergey Glazyev, State Secretary of the Union State, Boris Gryzlov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus, and representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

During the meeting, the participants considered about 20 issues, including: the development of a draft of the main directions for the implementation of the provisions of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State for the coming period; giving the products of Belarusian and Russian manufacturers the status of "Goods of the Union State"; the creation of the Committee on Standardization and Quality of the Union State, cooperation in the tourism sector, etc.
