Russia’s Nizhnekamsk seeks to renew tram fleet with BKM Holding vehicles

A delegation from the Nizhnekamsk municipal district visited the Belarusian company BKM Holding as part of a project to modernize the city’s tram fleet, the company told BelTA.

The visit aimed to study the enterprise’s production capabilities and explore optimal technical solutions for updating rolling stock. Nizhnekamsk is currently implementing a program to modernize its tram system.

During the visit, the Nizhnekamsk representatives explored BKM Holding’s production facilities, its latest developments in urban electric transport, and its range of tram models. Special attention was given to issues related to tram fleet modernization, technical solutions, and the possibilities for adapting vehicles to specific operating conditions.

Following the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation and further interaction in the development of urban electric transport.
