WORLD NOMAD GAMES 2026. Opening ceremony

On August 31, the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games took place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The event took place at the Bishkek Arena stadium. The opening ceremony was a large-scale international event, bringing together representatives from 106 countries. 2,355 athletes, coaches, and delegation representatives participated. Before the official part, renowned local pop singers performed for the guests and participants. Then, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov addressed the participants of the 6th World Nomad Games and noted the importance of this large-scale international sporting forum, which contributes to the preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage and traditions of the world's peoples.

The ceremony continued with a parade of participating countries. Representatives from 106 countries marched through the stadium, demonstrating the diversity of peoples and cultures united by the ideas of friendship, peace, and mutual respect. A special highlight of the program was a large-scale theatrical performance dedicated to the centuries-old history and rich cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people. The audience was treated to vibrant dance performances, equestrian shows, elements of traditional trick riding, and national equestrian games. Numerous artists, riders, and creative groups participated in the colorful show. Modern technology complemented the traditional component of the performance. The ceremony featured laser and fire shows, creating large-scale visual effects and enhancing the spectacle of the production. The opening ceremony concluded with celebratory fireworks and a performance by a world-renowned pop star.
