Minsk’s Botanical Garden to host Festival of Science on 5–6 September

During the festival, the Botanical Garden will be transformed into a large interactive science venue. Visitors will be able not only to listen and observe but also to experiment, build structures, launch devices, take part in competitions, and make discoveries with their own hands. The festival is supported by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The Space and Aviation Technologies section will showcase developments already in use in the space industry, as well as technologies being prepared for active deployment. The program includes a UAV simulator, space puzzles, satellite darts, assembly of a spacecraft systems model, and other interactive activities.

Robotics enthusiasts will be able to watch robot competitions, autonomous robot races, and an unusual football match featuring remote-controlled robots.

At the popular science shows Chemistry vs Magic and Formula of Cold, visitors will see the amazing properties of various substances demonstrated using nitrogen. The experiments will help explain how chemical processes relate to everyday life.

A separate section of the festival will be dedicated to humans and biology. Visitors will learn more about the mysteries of DNA, the features of twins, and the fascinating world of microorganisms, fungi, and insects.

Visitors will also be able to explore the results of climate research, learn about current environmental issues, and discover the impact of household chemicals on the environment.

The festival program also includes artificial intelligence, VR and AR technologies, historical quests, science quizzes, workshops, podcasts, interactive games, and other activities.

On 5 September, the festival will run from 11:00 to 19:00, with the evening program continuing until 22:00. On 6 September, the venues will be open from 11:00 to 19:00. Admission is free.
