“Today we are holding the first meeting of the organizing committee to prepare the joint Belarusian-Russian patriotic project Memory Train. We have been holding this youth event jointly with the Russian Federation for three years. This year we will hold it for the fourth time,” Natalya Kochanova said.
According to her, this project has become a popular event. “It is about the patriotic education of young people and explores the history of the Union State of Belarus and Russia,” Natalya Kochanova stated. "The number of participants grows every year. In 2022, when the event was launched, there were only two participating countries: Belarus and Russia. In 2023 two more countries joined us. In 2024, it featured eight countries."
“Young people like this project and consider it truly unique. The participants of the project have their own website, Telegram channel, where they communicate, keep in touch, even though they participated in the project three years ago. They have become very good friends. They have studied and know the history of the Great Victory. In 2024 we celebrated the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders. This year is also special for us: it marks the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory,” Natalya Kochanova emphasized.
